PBA all set for Governor’s CUP 2013

 After hosting the FIBA Asia 2013, where they emerged as Second placer, the Philippine Basketball Association is preparing and ready for this year’s Governor’s Cup Thursday at MOA Arena.
The Air21 Express taking on the Global Port Batang Pier will open the season and will followed by a 2012 Finals rematch between the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and the San Mig Coffee Mixers.
 The 2013 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Governors' Cup will be the third and last conference of the 2012-13 PBA season. Due to the preparations for the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship, the conference will start on August 14, and is expected to end on the last week of October 2013.
The tournament carries an import-laden format where foreign players not exceeding 6-foot-5-inch are allowed to play for each team. It will also goes through single-round elimination with only eight of the 10 teams advancing to the playoff stage.
The ten teams who will battle for this year’s Governor Cup are the following: Alaska Aces, Barangay Ginebra Kings, San Mig Coffee Mixers, Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters, Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, Petron Blaze Boosters, Barako Bull Energy Cola, Meralco Bolts, Air21 Express, and Globalport Batang Pier. All teams will have their respective imports that are already experienced basketball players in Asia and even in International League.
The ball game will kick –off today at Pasay City MOA Arena at exactly 3:15 PM and the PBA fans are excited to see their PBA idols that will play for their teams. The question now is what team will rule the hard-court and be the next Governor’s Cup champion.
