Lucky Seven!
A huge run with strong moves made Petron
Blaze Boosters extend their winning streak to seven games, and still maintains
their standing after defeating the Alaska Aces, 103-100, Philsports Arena, in
the 2013 PBA Governors' Cup.

The Blaze Boosters are assured for
victory as they successively won their seven previous games over different
teams. Last conference's champs Alaska had to settle for a 3-4 record.
The Aces played the catching game, as
McKines sent Millsap to the line with 21.6 to go. Petron's import took care of
both free throws, giving the Boosters a three-point lead.
The Aces tried to find an opening look
from beyond the arc, but Petron covered Jayvee Casio and Cyrus Baguio. McKines'
try from deep fell short, only for Millsap to miss two more free throws that
would have put the game away.
The Petron locals and import
established a good winning momentum and finally outshined Alaska Aces with only
three-point deficit, 103-100.
Marcio Lassiter was the Best Player of
the Game with 19 points and five rebounds.
